RSU Zinātniskās darbības informācijas sistēmā Pure (turpmāk – sistēma) modulī "Pētniecības rezultāti" (Research output) – apakšsadaļā “Imports no tiešsaistes resursiem” (Import from online source) ir iespējams importēt informāciju par žurnālu rakstiem, konferenču rakstiem un tēzēm, monogrāfijām, to nodaļām u.c. nozīmīgiem zinātniskiem sasniegumiem.

NB! Atcerieties sistēmas profilā pievienot Atvērto pētnieka un līdzautora identifikatoru (Open Researcher and Contributor ID ORCID), kā arī Web of Science Researcher ID un Scopus Author ID - ja tie nav pievienoti. Lai izveidotu potenciālo importējamo publikāciju darba plūsmu, aktualizējiet iesūtījumus Jūsu profila sadaļā "Automātiskā publikāciju meklēšana" (Automated search).

In the RSU Research Information Management System Pure (hereinafter – the system), in the module “Research output” in the subsection “Import from online source” you can import information about journal articles, conference papers and abstracts, monographs, their chapters and other significant scientific achievements.

NB! Remember to add your Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID), as well as the Web of Science Researcher ID and Scopus Author ID to your system profile - if they are not yet added. To create a workflow of potential imported publications, update the settings in the “Automated search” section of your profile.

Check your IDs in the “Metadata” section of your profile.

Update the settings in the “Automated search” (1) section of your profile. Check “Inform me by email when candidates are found” (2) and toggle on (3) any database, that you are interested in. In this example we are using Scopus database.

To start the import process, press “+ Add content”.

Press “Research output” (1), then “Import from online source” (2), then choose the database (3).

To import from Scopus database, you can search for a particular publication (1), if you know the title, abstract, keywords, Scopus publication ID, ISBN (for books) or DOI.

You can also do a wider search by searching by author name(s) (2a), ORCID or Scopus author ID(s) (2b) or Organisational unit affiliation of author (2c).

You can narrow search results by year range (3).

After putting appropriate data into search bars, press “Search” (4).

You can get 3 types of results:

  • If there is no message above publication title (1), this publication doesn’t yet exist in the system, and you can go ahead and press “Import”.

  • If above title you see message “Based on matching identifying field(s), a duplicate of this Research output already exists” (2), press “View potential duplicate” to confirm it is the same publication. If it is, you can press “Remove” or continue to the next result.

  • If above title you see message “This Research output has already been imported from Scopus” (3), press “View the Research output” to confirm it is the same publication. If it is, you can press “Remove” or continue to the next result.

After you press “Import” for the publication, that is not yet in the system, it will automatically compare author names and affiliations. After it’s done, you can either press “Import and review” (1) to check metadata yourself or press “Import and save” (2) to push publication to the next workflow step. System’s editors will check the created record, edit metadata, if necessary, mark publication as “Validated” and it will appear in your public portal profile.

NB! Publication search and import from other databases (Web of Science, PubMed, Mendeley, Core, Unpaywall, CrossRef) happens similarly, but there might be different search parameters.

To check your publications in the system, go to “Editor” (1) section and press “Research outputs” (2).

Press “My research output” (1) and if you have any, they will appear in the middle part of the page (2).
